Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF)

The Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) is a voluntary credential for experienced providers of career guidance and counseling. The GCDF offers country-specific regulations and recognition to qualified career facilitators throughout the United States and internationally. The GCDF credential encompasses 12 core competencies that form the foundation for its 120-hour training curriculum.

Originally established in 1997 as the Career Development Facilitator (CDF) credential, the GCDF is the result of a collaboration between the Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE), the National Career Development Association (NCDA) and the National Occupational Information Coordinating Committee (NOICC).

With more than 12,000 GCDFs in the United States and more than 9,000 in other countries, the GCDF credential continues its rapid growth. GCDF credential holders are highly sought after by organizations around the world for their experience, education and training.
