Preventing Suicide: A Resource for Counsellors     Preventing Suicide: A Resource for Counsellors was co-authored with WHO to help counselors respond to an individual in crisis. Suicide has been identified as a major public health threat around the world for adults and children, a fact which adds to the importance of this brochure.     The Preventing Suicide series is available both in electronic and paper versions from the World Health Organization.  The electronic versions are available free of charge from WHO Press. Readers will find information on developing suicide prevention programs for implementation in communities and schools and information on intervention strategies for those addressing the crisis often accompanying the death of a loved one.
