| NBCC International played a pivotal role in ceremonies opening the Guidance, Counselling, and Youth Development Centre for Africa (GCYDCA) in Lilongwe, Malawi on 27 January 2007. NBCC-I has been a long-term sponsor of this facility. A certificate of commendation from NBCC-I was presented at the ceremony to Minister of Education Anna Kachikho by Malawi President Dr. Bingu wa Mutharika. The Centre is governed by a board comprising Ministers of Education from more than 30 African nations. It will serve as both a training site for counselors, a print and electronic resource center, and a counseling service center. |
